This series focuses on central legal issues related to the digital transformation in Europe and beyond. It provides an academic forum for current and foundational contributions at the intersection of European digital law, business law, information law, and regulatory law. The focus is particularly on European data economy law, the regulation of digital platforms and gatekeepers, artificial intelligence law, IT security and resilience law, as well as copyright and innovation law issues related to data-based technologies.
The series is closely linked to the international education and research network LDE, which emerged from the long-standing collaboration between the Institute for Information, Telecommunications, and Media Law (ITM) and partner universities. It combines doctrinal precision with a comparative law and governance-oriented perspective and is aimed at academia, practice, and policy. The goal is to sustainably promote the development of a European-oriented, internationally compatible legal science of the digital economy.
