Gerlinde Egger und Christine Lechner

Christine Lechner is a lecturer on CLIL in initial teacher education at the Pedagogical University Tirol and the IMoF (Innsbrucker Model für Fremdsprachendidaktik), University of Innsbruck and also at CPD level at the University of Klagenfurt. At the PHT she is also responsible for English modules for Lower Secondary students. She has worked extensively in Europe co-ordinating a COMENIUS Network and Accompanying Measures Project also participating as a partner in numerous other networks and projects in the area of languages within the frameworks of COMENIUS and ERASMUS. Currently she is responsible for ERASMUS student mobility at the PHT. She has published on CLIL and on other themes of language education. She has a B.A. from the University of Southampton and teaching degrees at Master’s level in English, French and History and a doctorate from the University of Innsbruck.

Gerlinde Egger is a qualified primary and secondary school teacher and, since 1992, a lecturer in initial teacher education and professional teacher development. The initiatives in Primary language learning were noted as best practice at European level in the "European Profile for Language Teacher Education". She has broad experience in the field of reflective teaching, early foreign language teacher education and CLIL. She has worked in a number of European projects and holds a Master of Arts in “Language and Literacy in Secondary Education”from the City University of New York. Since 2006 she has been coaching a CLIL project at Volksschule Neuarzl.
